You are a Masterpiece

YOU ARE A MASTERPIECE

“For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us” – Rom 8:18

In the midst of life’s raging battles, unmet expectations, plummeting hopes, frightening statistics, unrelenting temptations, it’s hard to believe there are great things ahead. The big question remains – will these ever change?

While you look at yourself and see nothing, God smiles and says, ‘what a masterpiece!’ Your future is God’s past. He knows your end. Like Myles Munroe said that God can show you the future but not his plans (the process).

How do you think that marble felt when Michelangelo was chipping at it? I’m sure it kept complaining and asking ‘why me?’ Things don’t always make sense when they are happening but you must anchor your soul in the knowledge that all things work together for your good including your setback and failures.

Most successful people today also had the greatest failures and challenges. Ted Turner of CNN was told he would never amount to anything. Thomas Edison was once accused of being unproductive in a job but can the person who said that argue with a legacy of over a thousand patents today. Walt Disney was told he lacked imagination and then he went on to create one of the greatest fantasies of the 21st Century – Disney Land.

Let’s tell the pundits and mockers to keep quiet. Only God and us has the final say about the outcome of our lives. Always remember that you are what you say you are – crap or Star. You can’t do better than your self-image. Watch your self talk please.

We are conquerors in all these things not after or outside these things. Who calls himself a warrior and avoids battles. Holy joke! Your failures, struggles and temptations are parts of the process and opportunities for victory. Hang in there. Don’t give up. You are born to win and destined to reign. You are no ordinary person. You are a masterpiece, destined for great things. (Eph 2:10)
